Meeshabelle: Finishing February

For the last few months we've been meeting a the park every Wednesday to practice for 'The Wizar of Oz'. Since Elisabeth is playing Dorothy she only get's a few minutes to play....she usually spends those valuable minutes up in a tree.

With Libby's help Nicholas can do a little tree climbing too.

Once they finish their scene the rest of them spend the remainder of the rehearsal riding bikes, scooters and skateboards. Or playing on the playground. Luckily we finished up our outdoor rehearsals before the big heat hit.

Another fun event we attended in February was an arts and crafts fair. The kids got to display some of the things they've made this year. And they all received a certificate.

Adam was planning to bring a big lego dinosaur he had made. Then, just before we walked out the door it fell apart! So I told him to stick it all in a box and he could fix it on the way. The more he tried to fix it the worse things got. He was so upset and frustrated! So he didn't get to display it. Luckily his big sister helped him fix it on the way home. He thought it would be impossible to do without starting all over.

The Pink things in the back are not his....they are Libby's. She had sooooo much stuff we couldn't get it all in one picture. But here's a good sampling of it.

Sarah didn't pull her stuff together until last minute...so she couldn't find everything. But here is what she was able to bring. I don't know if you can tell but on the blue board she has some quill art. She really likes making those.

We also had the opportunity to attend a Ballet performance at Cypress Lake High. It was 'The Little Mermaid' The kids said there were a few boring parts ( unfortunately there really were) But most of it was pretty cool. And the BEST part of all was when they used the 'Silks'. It's like something you would see at the circus....when the performers climb up huge silky strips of material and do cool acrobatic stuff. They really liked that!
