Finishing up our Trip

  Just a few more things to mention, and I'll be done reliving our trip.

     We celebrated Jon's birthday while we were there, and his parents gave him the old drum set he used to play when he was a teenager.  Of course we had to set it u and make sure it all worked before we attempted to stuff it into our already completely packed van which we now had to drive back across the country.   Elisabeth had a few quick drum lessons and because of her dance and music experience she picked it up really well...really fast.  Even Jon and his dad were impressed!

Oh and did you notice...Jon got a hair cut!!!!  Hooray!  I like it a lot better this way. =)

We stopped off in Illinois again on our way home.  We had some more puppy love,

  and some more shooting and 4-wheeling,

  and even some bug catching!

Our entire trip was amazing!  Living so far away from the people we love is tough sometime.  But these visits help to refill our cups, and reconnect us in a way that phones and cards (as lovely as they are) just can't do.
