Adam's big Pine Wood Derby race for scouts was yesterday (Saturday Jan 17th). He and Jon had a lot of fun designing the car and using cool tools to shape it and sand it, and finally painting it. After 30 races between the 6 cars Adam came out in 2nd place. It was so much fun to watch his car win time after time. The only car that could beat him happened to be a replica of a hershey bar! We all had a great time.
Nicholas was in love with Adam's car! He actually fell asleep sitting up at the table late one night when they were first carving it. When they painted it metalic blue...it was beyond love. Many times the car disappeared, and we always found it with Nic, or on his train table. Jon ended up having to let Nic use his old pinewood derby car. And he even got a chance to run it down the track when the official races were over. He had been looking forward to the race for days.
The girls had a lot of fun at the race, and they cheered and cheered as Adams car won race after race. After the race we three girls went shopping. And sarah finally got the sparkley pink shoes she's been dieing to get since last May. It's hard to see here, but they are covered in pink glitter. They both got new dresses too. So this morning before church we shot a few photo's.
