Home School Snap Shots

As many of you know...I home school the kids. And I thought you might be wondering what that looks like. Some times it looks very traditional like this picture of Sarah doing Right Start math. Actually, this math curriculum is anything but traditional...unless you live in Asia.

We also use the computer a lot. Nicholas loves to play on a free phonics website called 'Starfall'

Our math program has them play a lot of games instead of so many worksheets. Elisabeth is teaching Sarah all the ways to make ten with a fun game. Sarah begs to play!

Often times school looks like this...especially if Nic is involved. That's Love! Adam did eventually get the work done...after I distracted Nicholas with something else.

Here is Sarah at her first violin lesson. She's been so excited for this. She and Elisabeth and Adam take a lesson just once a month. All the other weeks Adam and Elisabeth take piano.

We do so many fun activities with our home school friends. Here the kids are having a Florida snow ball fight with stockings full of flour. What a mess!

A home schoolers favorite place is the Library of coarse. So here they are with the group at a library tour and a special story time.
The library is also a great place for our groups Ballroom dance class. Not to mention Sign language, choir, little plays and many other events. (We usually do these things in each various peoples homes, but sometimes we get the meeting room or stage at the library).
