4th of July!

We had all sorts of fun on the 4th of July weekend! We were able to attend the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra performance followed by fireworks. Our friend Lisa plays violin, and it was fun to see her perform.

The kids really enjoyed the Fireworks....Okay, okay...I liked them too...I LOVE fireworks! I always have.

I was somehow surprised to discover that Jon had work off on the day after the 4th....since the 4th was on a Sunday. I didn't expect it and so is was twice as nice. We went to a fun pancake breakfast with some friends from church. It was nice to just let the kids play while Jon and I got to know some people a little better. Later we BBQ'd some hamburgers and hot dogs with friends.
