Nicholas turns 5!

He may be the size of a 3 year old...But this big boy is 5!!

Having a birthday right by Christmas is not the greatest. Once we had a party for Nick in March with Adam, but most of the time he doesn't get a 'real' party. Just cake and dinner with us. Luckily he's young and never really seemed to upset about it. But now he's getting older, and wants to have a big fun party with his friends like all the other kids do.

So, I vowed, that I would make time to have a party for him this year! It was hard enough to navigate between performances, parties and activities, but then we also added sickness to the mix. Luckily we were able to fit it in, although some of our friends couldn't make it, and we had another party that night, and Elisabeth fell sick the next day. Still, we pulled it off. It was a miracle!

We decided to have a Christmas theme.....it was easy and fun.

First they decorated sticker ginger bread house boxes To put all their treats and prizes in. Then made snow men ornaments (Thanks for the idea Rhoda!)

We decorated Christmas tree Sugar cookies.

The big boys had a little too much fun.
Everyone got prizes out Santa's Toy Chest. And theye played Kinnect . So fun to play or watch!

Nick opened Presents and we all ate Cup cakes.

The boys had to get into one of the gifts right away and play plants vs zombies! (Thanks Schiffli's)

Here's how the snowmen turned out a few days later when the glue was dry!
